This makes me think that the storytelling world may be brought to future analysis related to this. Indeed, showing and not showing graphic may be less relevant in contrast with a potentially well crafted conveyed story, such as one using lots of blurred images or, for example, darkness.

This subject cannot be tackled without bringing videography and storytelling. Perhaps an interesting research analysis, that could be connected to a future (to be recorded event) is to take in consideration the effects on the audience against a variety of conveyed stories based in a same event story source, in an attempt to connect with psychological effect.

To point out a very specific case of measurement, these days I saw in a news how they have used brain scanners to check the human response when a 4-seconds web page delay was presented to them — they mentioned that the highlighted area of the brain was the same of watching a horror movie.
